För att museet ska kunna flytta in har byggnaden sanerats, byggts upp och anpassats till museiverksamhet. Byggnaden består av av fyra plan som just nu fylls med fordon, utställningsytor, café, film- och hörsal, personalutrymmen, verkstad, butik och mycket mer. Den populära minitunnelbanan kommer att finnas även i det nya museet, såväl som spännande interaktiva upplevelser. Museet har anpassats efter Folkhälsomyndighetens föreskrifter. Till att börja med öppnas utställningen Zorn – en svensk superstjärna (besök endast med förköpt biljett för en särskild dag och tid) samt restaurang och shop.
